Job Search Engine - a new definition

A new defintion for "Job Search Engine" is necessary. Many do not understand what a job search engine really is. Out of this initial human misunderstanding, services such as search engines (Google, Bing) or web-based encylopedias are also led astray.

Jobster is acquired by Zapoint

Jobster was acquired by Zapoint (who?) thus finally ending the troubled company's struggle to gain a footing against strong competition in the job search engine market dominated by Indeed.com and SimplyHired. Or will Jobster now emerge as a new competitor via new leadership?

Hotjobs / Monster merger : my 2010 opinion

HotJobs had been a dying brand since Yahoo! purchased it in late 2001. Like many other Yahoo acquisitions, the HotJobs merger ultimately failed... Yahoo purchased the site and instead of continuing to innovate they let it sit and sit and sit. Neither the product nor its consumer ever benefited from Yahoo's ownership of HotJobs.

This site just launched 2/6/2010 with the intention to ultimately provide a single source for information about the employment/recruitment marketing niche as it relates to Internet Marketing.

This will intially consist of my own opinions and related advice...I hope everyone can gain from this and I look forward to future contributions from a variety of friends and experts in the field.
